Alex & Sophia's Wedding at The Lussh | Woolloongabba Wedding Photography

Alex and Sophia celebrated their wedding at The Lussh in Woolloongabba, one of Brisbane's most unique wedding venues at the time. Although The Lussh was sadly destroyed in a fire in 2024, it remains a venue that many couples remember for its incredible architecture, beautiful natural light, and modern industrial design. It was the perfect setting for a timeless and elegant wedding day.

The morning began with Alex and his groomsmen getting ready at the iconic The Calile Hotel in Fortitude Valley. Known for its contemporary design and luxurious interiors, The Calile provided a relaxed atmosphere and some incredible locations for natural, editorial-style wedding photographs. Meanwhile, Sophia spent the morning surrounded by her bridesmaids at a beautiful Airbnb, where the excitement built as everyone prepared for the day ahead.

Once everyone arrived at The Lussh, it was easy to see why the venue had become such a popular choice for Brisbane weddings. The soaring ceilings, striking architectural details, and abundance of natural light created an incredible backdrop for both the ceremony and reception. Every corner of the venue photographed beautifully, allowing the focus to remain on the genuine moments shared between Alex, Sophia, and their family and friends.

One of the highlights of the day was stepping outside for portraits around Woolloongabba. The venue's location offered the best of both worlds, with lush greenery surrounding the outdoor spaces and a variety of nearby streets that provided stylish urban backdrops. From clean architectural lines and textured brick walls to the soft natural light filtering through the trees, the area gave us a diverse range of locations for relaxed and timeless wedding portraits.
